Most buildings insurance policies cover damage to home if the following happens:
* Fire
* Lightning
* Explosion
* Earthquake
* Thieves
* Storm and flood
* Aircraft or things falling from them
* Subsidence, landslip and heave
* Falling trees
* Impacts by vehicles or animals
* Breakage or collapse of aerials
* Escape of water from tanks or pipes
* Escape of oil from fixed heating installations.
It is advisable to check your own policy to see what is, and what is not covered.
